Terms

Last updated October 5, 2026

These terms explain how Joshua Abel, doing business as Launch Your Thing, works with clients. Your accepted price and these terms form our agreement.

This is a starting draft for professional review. It is not legal advice.

Who I am

Launch Your Thing is a one-person service run by Joshua Abel in Colorado, USA. In these terms, “I” and “me” mean Joshua Abel. “You” means the person or business hiring me.

What I will provide

I will provide the work listed in the plan or price you accept. That document may include pages, writing help, setup, change rounds, ongoing help, or other agreed items.

Most one-time projects include two rounds of changes unless your accepted price says otherwise. A change round is one collected set of feedback. New pages, features, or a change in direction may need a new price.

If your accepted price includes build credits or a set amount of time, work beyond that limit needs your approval and may cost extra.

What I need from you

You agree to send accurate information, words, images, account access, decisions, and feedback when reasonably requested. You confirm that you have permission to use everything you send me.

You are responsible for reviewing names, prices, claims, spelling, legal notices, and the finished work before approval. Please tell me promptly if something is wrong.

Timelines begin when I have the payment and information needed to start. Delayed content, feedback, access, or approval will move the expected finish date.

Prices and payment

Prices are the amounts shown in your accepted plan or custom price. For one-time work, you may pay in full or pay 50% to start and the remaining 50% at launch. The final balance must be paid before the finished website is transferred or goes live, unless we agree otherwise in writing.

Third-party purchases or ongoing service costs are included only when your accepted price says so. Overdue work may be paused until payment is received.

Monthly plans

Care and Growth plans renew month to month. You may cancel anytime, and cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid month.

There are no refunds or credits for part of a month. Unused monthly time does not carry forward unless your accepted price says otherwise.

Ownership

Your web address is registered in your name. When your project is paid in full, the finished website and the original work I created specifically for it are yours.

You keep ownership of the words, images, logos, and other material you supply. Tools, licensed materials, and services made by others remain subject to their own terms.

I may show the completed work in my portfolio and describe the project. Tell me in writing before launch if you want to opt out.

Ending a project

Either of us may end a project by giving written notice. You pay for work completed and approved outside costs incurred up to that date. The Refund Policy explains when money may be returned.

I may pause or end work for nonpayment, unlawful requests, threatening or abusive conduct, or if I cannot get a needed response after reasonable attempts. If a project is inactive for 30 days, I may close it and offer a new schedule when you are ready.

Results and responsibility

I will provide the service with reasonable care, but I cannot promise sales, search placement, visitor numbers, uninterrupted third-party services, or any particular business result.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, I am not responsible for indirect losses, lost profits, lost data, or problems caused by information you provide or services outside my control. My total responsibility for a claim is limited to the amount you paid me for the work connected to that claim.

Nothing here limits responsibility that cannot legally be limited.

Changes and disagreements

I may update these terms for future work. The version you accepted continues to apply to your current project unless we both agree to a change in writing.

If there is a disagreement, please email me first so we can try to resolve it directly. Colorado law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
